Marco Fusi, associated researcher at the Orpheus Instituut, has released a new album dedicated to contemporary works for the viola d’amore. Produced in partnership with the Centre for Research in New Music at the University of Huddersfield, the recording reflects his research into performance practices and extended techniques. Through live electronics, instrumental preparations, collaboration, and co-creation, Fusi and his collaborators open new sonic and artistic perspectives for the viola d’amore, reimagining its expressive potential in the context of today’s musical practices.
