
Orpheus Instituut welcomes Michela Marcucci
Nieuws 23 februari 2026Orpheus Instituut welcomes Michela Marcucci (University of Pavia, Italy), an Erasmus+ trainee who will join the “Resounding Libraries” research cluster from February to June 2026.
During her traineeship, Michela will be involved in the Fonds Paul Thwaites, a large collection of records and sources related to the pioneers of historical performance practice. She will work on updating cataloguing metadata, bringing thesauri and knowledge bases up to date, and contributing to the enrichment of the Instituut’s discovery system.
Michela holds a Bachelor’s in Musicology and is completing her MA degree at the University of Pavia. She is currently preparing a scholarly essay for an upcoming monograph on Luigi Pasotelli’s Serraglio (Dia°foria, 2026), a collection of visual and sound poetry. Alongside her academic interests in musical aesthetics, voice, and performance studies, she is a member of the vocal and research group ITER Research Ensemble, and has experience with archival and sound documentation work. At Orpheus Instituut, she looks forward to bringing together her engagement with digital humanities and practice-led inquiry within a collaborative environment.
