Lea Luka Sikau’s practice explores the intersections between sound, embodied experience, technology, and performance. Her research engages with questions of how musical knowledge is produced, transmitted, and transformed, with particular attention to the possibilities of multisensory and experimental artistic practices.
Her collaboration with Arabella Pare will provide a space to further explore these questions across disciplinary and artistic boundaries. As Sikau puts it:

Through her work as a researcher, artist, curator, and educator, Sikau brings a broad experience of connecting artistic practice with critical and research-based approaches. Her appointment as Associate Researcher strengthens Orpheus Instituut’s commitment to fostering dialogue between different forms of musical knowledge and practice.
