Majella Clarke is a conductor, oboist, pianist, composer and sound artist whose practice explores expanded conducting through technology and composition. Working across orchestral and experimental contexts, she investigates conducting as a creative and compositional practice, exploring new forms of ensemble interaction, agency and musical aesthetics. At docARTES, within MetamusicX and the ERC Posthuman Music project, her research examines human–machine performance and posthuman approaches to conducting.
