Library officer & scientific staff member in the Resounding Library cluster

Liesa Deville (°1993) is a musicologist, double bass player and teacher. After studying Musicology at the KUL, she completed her studies in Classical music at the conservatories of Ghent and Brussels. Ever since, she has been performing as a freelancer in chamber music, ensembles and larger orchestral projects.

She is profoundly interested in the connection between the performing arts and academic research in music. As a student, from 2016 on, she had the opportunity to work in the library of the Orpheus Institute for Advanced Studies & Research in Music (Ghent). In 2020, she continued working at this interesting environment joining the 'Resounding Libraries' research cluster as a library officer.
