After a successful first edition in 2018, the Orpheus Institute organises its second Historical Piano Summer Academy. Eight pianists have been selected after an open call. We look forward to working together on repertoire by Beethoven and his contemporaries (like Dussek, Wölfl, or Schubert), using the various historical pianos we have at Orpheus. This promises to be a fruitful week of conversation, performing, and exchange of ideas and knowledge.

Op de laatste dag van de Historical Piano Summer Academy worden drie opeenvolgende concerten, met telkens twee of drie pianisten, gebracht door de acht deelnemers. Deze concerten vormen het slotevenement van een week van les, begeleiding, discussie en uitwisseling van ideeën en kennis af. We nodigen u uit om te komen luisteren naar muziek van Beethoven en tijdgenoten uitgevoerd op vijf unieke historische piano's.
