Juan Parra Cancino at International Computer Music Conference

Paper presentation and performance, 20 June 2019

Research Fellow Juan Parra Cancino will attend the International Computer Music Conference in New York to present a paper and perform a version of his Timbre Networks.

He will present the paper "Studio Report: MTT at the Orpheus Institute" (co-written with Jonathan Impett) and perform "TNchain_JI*JP_NY19", a version of his Timbre Networks with Jonathan Impett connected from the Orpheus Institute in Ghent.

The International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) is the preeminent annual gathering for computer music researchers and practitioners from around the world. Its unique interweaving of research paper presentations and concerts of new computer music, refereed by ICMA- approved international panels of experts, creates a vital synthesis of science, technology, and the art of music.

The 2019 ICMC will be a joint ICMC-NYCEMF conference and festival to be held Sunday June 16 through Sunday June 23, 2019. The event will take place in the heart of New York City at New York University and the Abrons Arts Center.
